About Us

North Coast Adventures was founded by Lowell Cottel in 1995 and purchased by Kelly Givins in 2005.  Kelly Givins is a trained outdoor guide who in addition to kayaking enjoys spending her time mountain biking, backpacking, participating in all snow and water sports, and of course beach bumming with her dog and her friends.

Kelly Givins has a BA in Art from Humboldt State University and is currently working on a Masters of Science in Geology with an emphasis in Paleontology at Humboldt State University.

Kelly is a fourth generation North Coast resident who recognizes the North Coast region for its rich history as well as its incomparable natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities.

All of the guides who work with North Coast Adventures share this enthusiasm for the outdoors.  Our guides are dedicated to healthy, quality lifestyles and sharing new experiences through sea kayaking.  Our personable guides are experienced and trained to ensure your enjoyment and safety.
